Ukraine introduced Monday it had swapped greater than 100 prisoners with Russia in what it mentioned was the primary all-female change with Moscow after almost eight months of warfare.
“One other large-scale change of prisoners of warfare was carried out at this time… we freed 108 ladies from captivity. It was the primary all-female change,” the Ukraine presidency’s chief of employees, Andriy Yermak, mentioned on social media.
In his every day deal with late on Monday, President Zelensky mentioned “96 [of the swapped prisoners] are servicewomen, together with 37 evacuees from Azovstal, and 12 are civilians.”
Mr Zelensky thanked “all concerned for this success… the extra Russian prisoners we’ve got, the earlier we will free our heroes.”
