Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has defended saying “I detest the Tories and every little thing they stand for” in a BBC interview on Sunday morning.
Cupboard minister Nadhim Zahawi described her language as “harmful”.
However talking to the BBC later, Ms Sturgeon mentioned she was speaking about “values and insurance policies” which had “devastated communities”.
The primary minister added she didn’t remorse her alternative of phrases, which she mentioned weren’t about people or Tory voters.
